Kurt “Frenchy” Yahjian

unnamedWe are excited to announce that Kurt “Frenchy” Yahjian has officially joined Jay Siegel’s Tokens!

Frenchy is a seasoned performer and a wonderful individual. You may even recognize him as a former member of The Planotones.

While we are still deeply saddened by the loss of Jay Traynor, we know Frenchy will be a wonderful addition to the group. Please join me and welcome him with open arms!

-Jay

I feel that Frenchy will make a great addition to the Tokens…..The man has talent and has proven it for years performing with the Planotones…..Tough shoes to fill since Jay’s passing but you have chosen a true gentleman in the industry.

Losing Jay Traynor was a tremendous loss, not only to The Tokens, but to all of us in the business who knew and loved him. Frenchy will be an incredible addition to the group. He is one of the truly talented and nice people in the world.

Wonderful news and congratulations to all. French was a founding member of Little Isidore and the Inquisitors and brought his plentiful artistic gift to every show and recording we did. So it is fitting, given the tragic passing of the great Jay Traynor and the end of the Planotones that French land on his feet on the company of a real mensch, Jay Siegel. Best wishes from all of us.

    Hi Frenchy,

So sad to hear about Jay’s passing and Kenny’s problems.
The Planotones’ loss is the Tokens’ gain.
Does this move mean you are gone from the Planotones for good?

How long do you think it will be before Kenny is back on song and performing again?

Wishing you all the very best for the future,
    Rex

Hey Frenchy – I’m so sorry to hear of Jay’s passing. and Kenny’s problems.

Congratulations on being a permanent part of the Tokens. So is Planotones done? Larry and I would love to see you guys at the Kimmel Center but we just don’t have the funds right now. I’m the one who had the suitcase of JCS memorabilia at Carlisle, PA and sat next to you during the screening.

My husband’s case should be done by the fall, so I will follow your schedule and hope to see you in the Philly area again soon. Have a blast! All the best to you.
