    Dr. Seigel,
How wonderful you are still gifting that angelic voice and bring joy to the lives of others. You are just as beautiful as you always was.
Great that you’ve stayed married so long- luckiest woman on earth! Would like to see more info on your bio, such as year of marriage, how it affected your early career with all the groupies, and if your group is all original Tokens. Also, if any of your children got your voice and how did your choir teacher end up feeling about your success, lol.
    Having a site for yourself/group is A+++!
    God bless all of you.

    Hi Jay,
I have always been a big fan of yours and have admired your wonderful voice and music for most of my 60 years.
I thought you might get a kick out of this video parody which I just completed and posted.
I have always greatly admired your incredible vocals on “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”, and was inspired to write & produce this fun parody.
I know you have a wonderful sense of humor. I hope you enjoy it.
After all of these years, you are still inspiring artists and creative people t/o the world. Thank you & enjoy.

I recently saw you perform at Shippensburg, Pa. Your group’s performance was simply awesome, so much so, that I purchased (via your website) a copy of your recent CD. Well, I so enjoy the sound of that CD, that it is the only CD that I have played since – what an original, and rich sound, simply fantastic! Thanks for the enjoyment!

  27. Jose Garcia Balderas May 19, 2013 6:36 pm

I live in Mexico and my greatest wish is to be able to be in one live concert of the Tokens.

  28. joyce brady May 21, 2013 6:58 pm

i love you guys… your music is the greatest…

  29. John H May 29, 2013 4:58 pm

Caught your show last night in Toronto. I had confidence that the event would be exceptional when it was announced that you would close the evening. Your voice is still exceptional and not just the falsetto. The group was as professional and the fact that Jay Traynor is singing with you was a great bonus. When Kenny Vance joined you on stage it was magical.
    Thanks for a wonderful moment.
“The Lion Sleeps Tonight” is one of very few 45s that I actually wore out!

  30. Michael Spinner June 16, 2013 9:37 pm

Hello Jay, Enjoyed seeing you & ‘The Tokens’ last night at The Beacon Theatre in (N.Y.C) Manhattan. It was another super performance by you and the group. Thanks for coming and hope to see you all again in the near future.

Please bring back Inhale with Steve Ross I used to do it with my mom every night, and he is so far the only yoga instructor that doesn’t drive me inasne! I need to do yoga but cant seem to unless I can have fun with it, I would settle for even a DVD

  31. Lynn Brock June 18, 2013 3:01 am

    Hi Jay
The group’s performances on the Rock N Roll Cruise last week was just wonderful. What a shock to be dining at the same table with “The Tokens”. You, Billy, your wives and Jay T. were so gracious to Joan and me, it made our trip. Thank you for showing us that entertainers are very real people. Can’t wait to see you in AC

I am a Token fan for years and look forward to this event.

Saw your concert at Tanner Park in Copaigue last night. It was by far the best concert of the year at the park and one of the best ones we have seen over the years. The Tokens are keeping the best music ever alive and well. Thanks for bringing back the songs and memories that are unique to growing up in New York.

What a wonderful show you guys put on Saturday night at the Taj in AC. As always, upbeat, smiling and great voices. Thanks for a great time. Joan and I are formally now the Tokenettes. Will see your shows whenever the distance is accessible. See you on the cruise in November. Can’t wait.

  38. Gene Forbes August 26, 2013 9:40 pm

Just wanted to say hello. We really enjoyed your concert when you guys were at the Kirby Center in Wilkes Barre back a few months ago. My wife Carolyn and I were about to celebrate our 46 wedding anniversary a few weeks after that concert. Have seen you several times it is obvious that you guys have not lost a step, you still sound wonderful. Maybe if you come back to the Kirby Center in the future could you sing “Picture In Your Wallet”. I just love that song. Thank you for always giving the best concerts.

Saw you at the St. George Theater on 10/18/13. Before that I saw you perform at The PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey in September.
How amazing it is to see and hear you sing just like you did when you originally recorded your music. All I can say is WOW!
Plus, it’s great to see Jay Traynor sing with you. Getting to hear “She Cried” live is just fantastic for me. Thanks for keeping the music alive and keep bringing it to your fans. Hope to see you again soon!

25 yrs ago, during Reno Nevada’s Hot August Nights, Wolfman Jack introduced the Tokens who sang The Lion Sleeps Tonight at the outdoor concert at what was the MGM Grand Hotel. Even though I had only known my date for a few weeks, in the middle of the song I got down on one knee and asked him to marry me. (He said yes and I left Reno for Oklahoma). 25 years later, almost to the day, we went home to Reno and our son got us tickets to see the Tokens, again, during Hot August Nights. This time, in the middle of the song, he asked me to marry him. Thanks for being being there at our beginning and again, here in the middle. YOU ROCK!

Hello from your Brighton Beach friend. Hear your going to be in Palm Beach Gardens. Want to touch base?

  47. Eddie Cardone January 4, 2014 12:52 pm

I am sorry to hear about Jay Traynor, he fit right in with the Tokens. I followed Jay from the Mystics, Jay and the Americans and then with the Tokens. He had a great voice, great stage presence and a down to earth personality. Jay paid his dues in the music business and will be greatly missed. “She cried” will always be on my favorite list of songs. Hw will not forgotten.

  48. Rick Dale January 5, 2014 3:19 am

So shocked to hear about the death of Jay Traynor. Saw you many times, the last one in Toronto in May 2013.
    Great voice and very personable.

    He will be missed

  49. carole January 9, 2014 3:45 am
